Jakten på utmaningarna har börjat!

Så var då den stora nyheten släppt – Challenges! Till en början finns det två typer att välja på; Photo Challenge och Action Challenge.

Action Challenge: Perform a task at a location – sing a song in the middle of Times Square, hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, or climb the stairs to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Photo Challenge: Take a picture doing something specific at a location – trying to push the luggage cart through the wall to platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station in London, throwing a coin into Rome’s Trevi Fountain, or trying to make a guard at Buckingham Palace laugh.

För att logga dessa måste du gå till en viss plats och utföra den ”utmaning” som krävs.

Men det verkar som om vi samtidigt fått tillbaka locationless cacherna i vår flora av cachetyper! Det finns nämligen något som heter – worldwide Challenges. I skrivande stund finns det fyra sådana:

* Kiss a Frog.”This can be a real frog, a fake frog, or even someone named ”Frog.” Use your imagination! ” (Photo Challenge)

* Take a Hike. ”Take a photo of yourself or some friends outside on a hiking trail. Extra credit for beautiful scenery! ” (Photo Challenge)

* Show Us Your Landmarks. ”Take a picture of yourself putting the tip of your finger on the top of the most recognizable landmark near you. In your comment, tell us where you are located and describe the landmark. Enjoy!” (Photo Challenge)

* 10,000 Fewer Pieces of Litter. Go to a local park and pick up 10 pieces of litter. If 1000 people complete this Challenge, the geocaching community will have cleaned up 10,000 pieces of litter! (Action Challenge)

Tre av dessa borde inte bli något problem, men skall man verkligen ge sig till att antasta en groda….
